However, over time, crowding of the teeth may increase and joint problems may occur.

Should wisdom teeth be extracted before orthodontics?
The wisdom teeth are not a direct obstacle to orthodontic treatment. However, it may cause the teeth to return to their old position after the treatment is completed. Therefore, it is strongly recommended to remove them before, during or after orthodontic treatment.
Which jaw is braces placed first?
