We use many different jaw appliances in the clinic. Therefore, the duration of use depends on which appliance we prefer. It is not possible to give a definite time. After the first examination, the most suitable appliance and the duration of use are decided according to the patient's needs.

If the patient does not have any condition that affects his/her daily life, if he/she does not have any discomfort in terms of eating, breathing or aesthetics and if there is no problem in his/her joints, he/she can continue his/her life without orthodontic treatment. However, over time, crowding of the teeth may increase and joint problems may occur.
Should wisdom teeth be extracted before orthodontics?
The wisdom teeth are not a direct obstacle to orthodontic treatment. However, it may cause the teeth to return to their old position after the treatment is completed. Therefore, it is strongly recommended to remove them before, during or after orthodontic treatment.
Which jaw is braces placed first?
This is a question we frequently hear from our patients. First of all, whether the lower jaw or upper jaw will be braced depends on which region the existing problem is more severe. We usually start treatment from the area that needs the most correction.

Can braces be removed on special occasions?
Of course, we would like to send our patients to their weddings "with wires and veils", but the wires can be temporarily removed for our patients who do not want to. We can remove the wires before special occasions such as weddings and put them back on after a short time.
